The location of the cottages is perfect, offering a slightly remote and peaceful setting for a large family gathering. The surrounding scenery is beautiful, providing a great backdrop for a relaxing getaway. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, with en-suite bathrooms and good kitchen facilities. It's a great place to unwind and enjoy quality time with loved ones.
Some of the fixtures in the cottages are in need of repair, such as broken bath panels and holes in the walls.

The Perfect Retreat: Nestled in the heart of Derbyshire, this cozy holiday home offers a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. With its peaceful garden and private parking, it's like having your own little slice of paradise.
Unpredictable Weather Woes: Unfortunately, the hot tub lacks a sheltered area, which can limit its use on rainy days. Mother Nature's whims can sometimes interfere with the joy of a relaxing soak, so be sure to pack your umbrella and embrace the adventurous side of hot tubbing.

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful property. The value for money was excellent, and the room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped for our large family gathering. The location was perfect, no matter the weather, and the staff treated us very well.
The only thing that could have made breakfast better was the lack of a "starter pack" with tea, coffee, and milk.

The rooms at Somersal Cottages are like a cozy home away from home, with comfortable seating areas where you can relax and unwind. The flat-screen TV is perfect for catching up on your favorite shows. Plus, having a kitchen with a dishwasher and microwave means you can easily prepare meals during your stay. And let's not forget about the ironing facilities and wardrobe – keeping your clothes neat and organized is a breeze!
Personally, I found the ironing facilities at Somersal Cottages to be a bit outdated. However, I understand that others may still find them functional and useful.
